  I am a college student and I am broke. I need AI tools for research and summarizing papers but I cannot afford twenty dollars a month for multiple subscriptions. Is there a list of free or student-friendly AI apps?

  You definitely do not need to pay for everything, there are tons of free wrappers and open-source tools. You should browse the directory at https://aidude.info/tools While not every tool is free, many have generous free tiers or are completely free open-source projects. You can look through the Text and Business categories to find summarizers and research aids that won't cost you a dime.
